Corporate Responsability

Quality and the reduction of waste are priority objectives of our management. The adoption of total quality has taken us to introduce important changes in the behavioural patterns of the residues and raw materials related with the production processes, including their measurement and control. We are the first eompany in the Canaries that invests €1.500.000 in solar panels, to confront the excessive energy consumption in its companies, these were done during all of 2007 and they are now functioning. As a guideline for the selection of irrigation in our companies, mainly hotels, we applied the drip method as the most adequate, because of the benefits it offers relative to the other types (overflow, infiltration, spraying). The drip method delivers a slow irrigation, very localized and with a low flow, the water is completely used, the dispersion and evaporation are kept to a minimum. In respect to air-conditioning our installations, they are thermostat controlled that permit their dunctioning when they are really needed. All rooms have control elements that shut off the equipment when windows and doors are opened. All of the above leads to a good amount of energy savings.

Personnel training

We participate in the plans for continuous education of the Tripartite Foundation for Training in Employment (FTFE), which have been put in place by Ashotel. It is a state wide program. - Ashotel, through the service program agreement with the Canaries Employment Service (SCE) also offers action plans for continuous training. - Costa Adeje Gran Hotel, one of our hotels, develops and organizes a training program for all workers of GF Hoteles, - We are continually working in the preparation of our executives, keeping up to date on new courses, master degrees and other, that will allow them to be more professional and up to date, as is their responsibility.

Accessibility oriented.

We maintain a policy that all buildings and infrastructure must be accessible, they should not merge handicap pathways with non-handicap, but it should be one same pathway for all. We are also worried about those clients who have other handicaps, such as visual or auditory. Measures have been take to alleviate these inconveniences.

Creation of new jobs

Any new job will bring on as a consequence the creation of jobs, motivating the formation of personnel in the tourism sector, besides reducing the roster of the INEM (State Employment Office) in the Canaries.
